Navy and Floral Mani

So.. I was inspired to do this mani from a specific dress I purchased from ASOS

Main polish: 'Urban' by Revlon

Thumb: Floral design done using a dotting tool and the polishes I used are 'Be Happy' by Sinful Colors, 'Presto Pink' & 'Sonic Bloom' by Sally Hansen, 'Dance Craze' by L.A. Girl, 'OR202' by Etude House (used in my last blog) and 'Acid Rain' by Australis.

Ring Finger: Polishes are...'Azure' by Sally Hansen (which is the same colour as 'Urban' but metallic instead of a cream finish, it's a bit hard to see in the pic's, but it just gives a little extra to the accent nails) and 'Golden-I' by Sally Hansen

Please check out my Facebook page SHELLACALACQUERBOOM and msg me with any designs or swatches you would like to see.

Etude House Haul and Manicure

So I recently purchased some Etude House which is a Korean cosmetics brand that's really big all over Asia and I'm loving it at the moment so I thought i'd do a little review on the products I purchased. I bought them all from a website that deals in Asian cosmetic brands called KollectionK worth a look. So here it is...

Products from left to right are: 'Sweet Bon Bon' from the Pink Prism range, 'Blue Berry (PP501)', 'Strawberry (OR201)' and 'Peach (OR202)' all from the Ice Cream Collection...Yummy Nom Noms!

The Ice Creams are really creamy and opaque so they really only need 2 coats. Here is a manicure I did with the peach as base colour.

The other product I bought is an eyes, cheeks and lips cream and it comes in this cute little tin and the colour is a really pretty opaque peach and no shimmer which i love.

Teally Cute, Asian Inspired nail design!

So ladies, I have found that the stamper does make a huge difference as to how clear the design comes out, I also found that normal polish picks up much better with a good quality stamper.
My sister inlaw Amanda, kindly let me test my new stamper on her, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. It looks super cute or should I say Kawaii!! ^ - ^

THE DEETS

Main colour

'Paradise Valley' by MUD (these polishes can be found at any woolies)

Stamping

I'm really struggling with the stamping, it seems to not be picking the whole design up and I don't know if it is the stamper or my technique or what...it's really frustrating! I guess I just need more practice :)
Anyway here's the deets...
Thumb: 'Behind the Scenes' by Loreal
Pointer: 'Cinderella' by Sinful Colors
Index: 'Lively Lilac' by Rimmel
Pinky: 'Spearmint' by W7
Stamping: Winstonia plate W110 from Winstonia Stamping polish is from Born Pretty :)

Getting Started!

OK.. soooo I guess I'm starting a blog!
I have no idea what i'm doing, so i'm just gonna keep it real simple. I've recently gone a bit crazy with the whole nail art thing, purchasing Gel polishes, uv lamp, nail art bits n bobs, tools and all that jazz! So I'll be posting my nail art ideas, my takes on tutorials from other nail art enthusiasts and swatches of polishes mostly budget brands or whatever i can get my hands on, on special (one thing you'll quickly learn about me is i very rarely purchase anything at full price ;)
